who asked him questions
could have cared less

The War on Terror
he became the furor

privacy agreements
they want me to sign
in medical offices
as if I were blind
as to what I would agree
to have taken from me
given for national security
clinical and personal information
they’re for capital punishment
but against abortion
by their own distortion
our confidentiality is dead
so they can move ahead
incriminating what they’ve read
who’s the one who said
life’s not fair
now cut your hair
then shave your head
go over-seas to shed
your blood, though it’s still red
whether here or there
remember life’s not fair
how much more can I bear
I know ethics are rare
especially in politics
what can we really expect
from raving lunatics
who will never respect
our right to privacy
they want to see what they want to see
but they’ll never see me
sign a fucking document
like a human experiment
giving them keys to my head
keys to my home
liberty to roam and roam
providing evidence
at my own expense
to prove I’m a terrorist
though at the very best
I’m humanity’s activist
with a lemon twist
so sour to devour
taking all their power
absorbing it like dry dirt
I hope they all hurt
by me speaking my truth
even though it’s uncouth
another thing that’s sad
it makes me so mad
it’s something so bad
something I wish we never had
the fact that they’re racist
because they insist
our new president "who’s black"
is at best a closet socialist
as they show up to town halls
with a whole lot of balls
packing heat on their hips
shouting from thin lips
about health care reform
bringing hatred with a storm
not realizing they’re the norm
who would benefit from change
they’re all so deranged
the VA and Medicare
neither make them stop to stare
crying out socialized medicine
that would take thinking for them
I imagine them thinking, brain-storming
with hatred just pouring
Obama’s not even American
what the fuck’s wrong with them?
I guess Hawaii’s not a state
because it was purchased real estate
we didn’t kill off the natives
we didn’t call them savages
neither were the Eskimos
it’s quite funny they don’t know
the innuendo of tea-bagger
within the context of pros or prose
some things they don’t get
like the true meaning of freedom
because they’re all too damn dumb
things like choice, civil and equal rights
you know, the cause of our original fight
against a king and form of government
how many lives were spent?
G.W. destroyed it in eight years
they should all be shedding tears
instead they hold picket signs
showing just how blind
how ignorant they are
they should all get a star
for being such schmucks
for making this country suck
they are biting their tongues
they should all eat their young
for having to hold themselves back
because our president is black
they want to shout the “N” word
even though that’s been heard
they won’t let it out in that way
they play “tippy-toe” today
where did their balls go?
were they just there for show?

Yeah, that's right. I said it. All of it. I've been ahead of the press to report the facts since we first invaded Iraq.
I know that the whole "N" word thing was first mentioned by Jimmy Carter on the major national news networks. However, I was saying it long before that happened. I've been saying it since he got elected and the gridlock started to become worse than it has ever been with trying to pass a lot of what Obama campaigned to get done.
Everyone blamed him for not having a magic wand to wave and immediately fix what took eight years to completely demolish. They expected that the republicans would be intelligent enough to get on board with what needs to be done rather than be the little infants they are sitting there giving the silent treatment.
Anyway, this was (originally) written in present tense during Bush number two's hiatus. It was pretty much just the first of the three thoughts (separated by the double space like stanzas).
But, I had to revise it today so I could still use it in "today's" context. You see, I went to a certain medical provider today to follow up as I was instructed by the physician who cared for me in the hospital during my six day stay last week.
I thought nothing of it because I've been seeing many specialists for over a year and a half trying to get my problem found, treated, cured, or just maintained comfortably.
Anyway, I'm sure most people who have been cared for since the HIPPA laws/practices were put into effect know that there's always a "privacy policy" that you are claiming you've read when you sign the paper of notification of privacy policy.
Well, I am familiar with HIPPA as I used to work in the medical field and now work in the behavioral health field. It's (usually) pretty straight forward notifying you that your information will be kept confidential unless certain rules apply like sharing information due to subpeona for law suits and things of that nature.
This privacy policy I read today included court orders and insurance company approval (those are both standard and have been since the inception). It went much further than those two dynamics, though, and that is what disturbed me to no end.
It, also, stated that in cases of national security my information could be obtained and reviewed by the government. Ah yes, the Patriot Act reared its ugly head again today when I was in a medical facility. I could not believe it. Of course, I did not sign as to agree with it. I wrote in a special note that my signing was not giving permission to the government (specifically) and could not be given to any government entity for any reason other than for government funding to assist me in paying my bill. (I don't have government insurance but I was hoping to get assistance that is pertinent only to each individual's income/debt ratio.)
Anyway, my personal crap isn't the issue here so much as the facility where I was trying to get treatment of my medical condition. I don't know why I was prompted to read their policy prior to signing because every other place I've been to since HIPPA was enacted I've never even looked at the HIPPA Act paper I was signing stating I was informed. All I can say is that my intuition has never failed me and this was my intuition telling me to look it over prior to signing.
Whenever I ignore my intuition I pay heavy price tags. I have learned that much in my 41 years on this planet.
Anyway, I thought I'd set the record straight about this piece and give some background info on it so it makes more sense to the individual reading it who would normally be unaware of the issue I just pointed out.

I really don't want to do that. I want this site to be accessable to all people whether they are members or not. We'll see if there continues to be a problem with people posting garbage on here then I may have to do just that.
